Jimmy Fallon then asked Lee Jung-jae about how he made his acting debut. The actor confessed, “Honestly, I was getting ready to work for an interior design company back then, and then got a part-time job working at a cafe. And I was suggested a part-time modeling gig, and it turned out, it paid a lot more than what the cafe paid me so I thought I’d take it up“, adding “And that modeling gig led to me being cast as an actor. And I thought I’d save just a little more and quit”, adding “I didn’t know that that would be the beginning to this long of a career, never knew that I’d be in something like ‘Squid Game’”.

Jimmy Fallon then showed a picture of Lee Jung-jae’s Crunky chocolate advertisement 30 years ago and the two recreated the scene together, drawing laughter.

Later, Jimmy Fallon asked Lee Jung-jae about “Squid Game Season 2”, which is set to premiere on December 26th. The actor shared his busy promotion schedule for “Squid Game 2” and shared, “Because Season 1 was so widely loved, we did feel the pressure about whether or not season 2 would be just as loved. However, our story has gotten more diverse, deeper, with a very clear theme. So I don’t know if I can say it will be as successful, but what I can say is that it’s just as well made”.
